
History
During the 19th century, some mines and factories used cargo elevators to transport coal and other necessary materials. The first elevators that did not put people's safety at risk were built in the mid-19th century. Electric Lifts
The rope-drum system used in the old elevators is replaced by an electric motor instead of the steam machine, and today some elevators are also used. Each of the hanger ropes sits on a hoist placed on the top of the elevator shaft or on a separate yacht on the reel. This reel, driven by an electric motor, rotates the ropes as it rotates. Thus, while the elevator is traveling in one direction, the counterweight moves in the opposite direction.
Today's elevators are equipped with many security systems that prevent the cabin from moving too fast and reaching the top or bottom floor level and crossing the top or bottom floor level. Electronically Controlled Elevators
Even after the electric elevators became widespread, elevators were needed for long periods of time to monitor the landings of the elevator and to open and close the cabin doors. It is in the 1890s that they can press the buttons on the passengers' cabin to operate the elevator by themselves. These early elevators with small cabins and very slow could only be used in residential buildings or in several floors of business houses where a small number of people entered and exited.

Automatic Elevators

When the elevator goes up, it also stops at the floors where there are other passengers who press the exit knobs of the panel next to the elevator doors in the corridors of the building. When the elevator comes to the floor level, the doors open automatically; All the ups and downs of the passengers are gradually closed.
